Complaint in Federal Court against SF City and County, SF Mayor and Board of Supervisors
Monday, June 13, 2011 - 9:59pm PDT

In my last report to you, I made reference to going to court re: the City of San Francisco’s opt-in ordinance on the distribution of the Yellow Pages.

On Tuesday, June 7, 2011, a complaint was filed in Federal District Court against the City and County of San Francisco, the Board of Supervisors of the City and County of San Francisco, and Edwin M. Lee in his official capacity as Mayor of the City and County of San Francisco. Click below to see a copy of this complaint.

I urge you to take the time to read and re-read carefully the full 19-page brief to get a better sense of the severity of this legislation. If it becomes law, IBEW 1269 jobs will be dramatically impacted, the business community will undergo an economic tsunami, and the general consumer population will lose its only reliable, free source of local suppliers of products and services.
